SENER has been awarded development consulting services contract for Californian Stanislaus River Bridge Project07/07/2020 (United States)
Global Engineering and Technology Group SENER has been awarded a contract to provide the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) with design services, specifications and estimations for the Altamont Corridor Express (ACE), the commuter rail line that links the Central Valley with Silicon Valley.
SJRRC is implementing a Capital Projects Program to provide an expansion of the ACE Services to Stanislaus, Merced and Sacramento Counties and major upgrades to its services. The program consists of multiple projects and SENER was one of the nine firms on the “on-call” list approved by SJRRC to complete the expansion.
As part of this “On-Call bench contract”, SENER is designing the Stanislaus River Bridge, a new 760-foot long single-track concrete bridge crossing over the Stanislaus River on the Fresno Subdivision.
Incorporating a 20-span structure, two abutments at each end of the bridge and 19 piers between the span sections, the new bridge will be parallel with the existing bridges (a single-track Union Pacific Railroad bridge and a Caltrans highway bridge SR 99) with an approximate 50-foot-wide corridor of space between the mainline and freeway bridges.
Under the terms of the contract, SENER will be leading a team of seven subconsultants (Dudek, Kleinfelder, Epic Land Solutions, GCM Consulting, Guida Surveying, Kleinfelder, River Focus, Zephyr Rail) and coordinating works related to Structures, Geotechnical and hazardous materials, Permitting and Environmental support, stakeholders coordination, Hydrology and hydraulics, Utilities and Land surveying and Right of Way.
